Glasgow Beer Delivery

I'm not sure why, but we never offered a delivery service at our shop when we first opened. It's something that our customers always asked for, but I struggled to find a way to offer it. 

Well, that was until the COVID hit in 2020. 

When lockdown hit I had to find a way to get good craft beers to our great Glasgow customers.

I remember the first day that I loaded up my van to do our Glasgow local craft beer delivery. 

I rolled up my sleeves, turned up the tunes, and I thought to myself, "This is going to be a breeze".

Little did I know though, that was far from the truth! 

In my head, I thought I knew Glasgow like the back of my hand, but I couldn't be more wrong. What I thought was going to be a couple of hours of delivering turned out to be a 6 hour disaster!

So that night with my tail between my legs, I searched the internet to find a solution for mapping out my Glasgow craft beer delivery route, and luckily I came across an amazing app (Obviously there's an app for everything)

Basically, I uploaded all my address to the app, then I told it my starting location (the shop), and my ending location (my flat), and wala! it created the quickest route for you!

I've actually really enjoyed doing my little delivery route over the last 2 years. It was a great time to listen to podcasts/music, I've had the chance to see so much of Glasgow, and most importantly it gave me the chance to see all my customers. 

However, the time now has came for me to hang up my "keys", and pass them over to someone else. 

Although, the new person has no need for a key, as they will do our deliveries on an Electric Bike!

Grunting Growler has partnered with Velo City Deliveries to handle all of our local shipping needs. 

This means that our deliveries are now carbon neutral, and we're supporting a great local business in the process! It's a win, win on so many levels. 

So here's the deal: 

• Deliveries are done every Thursday and Friday after 12 noon. 
• Deliveries are Free on orders over £60, or only £4
• Deliveries must be placed before 10 am for same day delivery
• We delivery within a 5 mile radius of our shop
