If you want something easy drinking, then this is the style for you.
Pale ales tend to be 4.5-5.5% abv, and can range in malt characteristic. Many modern breweries tend to brew them to be light golden in colour, and have them loaded with American hop varieties that make them have big tropical fruit aromas and flavours.
If you want to be the coolest kid on the block, then India Pale Ales are for you.
India Pale Ales are higher in alcohol content (5.5%-7.5% abv), are moderate to high hop bitterness, and many have big tropical fruit flavours, but some can vary depending on the varieties of hops being used.
Please note: Double India Pale Ales are NOT for the faint of hearted—they are big on flavour.
The high alcohol conent (7.5%+) gives off a slight alcohol warmth, the huge hop flavours are moderate to high in bitterness, and they have a big mouthfeel.
Even though the flavours are big, they tend to be well balanced.
If you love to be ahead of the curve when it comes to trends, then this is the beer for you.
Sour beers get their name because they are, well, tart and acidic. The sour flavours can vary from light lemon acidity, and go all the way to vinegar sourness.
The sour flavours are a result of brewing with natural bacteria during the brewing process.
These beers go really awesome with dark chocolate!
Wheat beers are known for their cloudy appearance and big fluffy white head which is a result of their high wheat content, and their unique yeast variety.
There are several different styles of wheat beers, but as a general rule of thumb their flavours are spicy, clove like, and ripe banana.
This beer is great for something easy drinking, or on a hot summer day.
