One of the pitfalls of creating higher ABV beers is ending up with a cloying residual sweetness. For this release, the Beak brewers set themselves the challenge of brewing a 7% IPA that would hit that hallowed sweet spot between minerally drinkability and juicy, full-mouthfeel. They're really happy with the results. Oats, Maris Otter and multiple additions of Simcoe, Citra and Nelson Sauvin combine to create massive flavours of orange, tangerine, lemon zest and pineapple with a delectable weedy/piny/danky bitterness.
