We’re turning 10! To celebrate a decade of great beer and great community, we’re hosting our very own beer festival — and you’re invited.
For this milestone event, we’re brewing 10 collaboration beers with 10 incredible breweries from across the U.K. All ten beers will officially launch at the festival, and every collaboration brewery will have their own stall pouring beers on the day.

What is Big Ol’ Beer Fest?
Big Ol’ Beer Fest is a one-day beer festival celebrating 10 years of Grunting Growler. We’re launching 10 exclusive collaboration beers brewed with 10 different breweries, all pouring under one roof alongside wine, cocktails and oysters.
When and where is the festival?
The festival takes place on 30 May 2026 at the Queen Margaret Union, 22 University Gardens, Glasgow, G12 8QN. Doors are open from 1pm–10pm.
Is there only one session?
Yes. There is one continuous session from 1pm–10pm. You can come and go as you please throughout the day.
What does my ticket include?
Your ticket includes:
- Entry to Big Ol’ Beer Fest on 30 May 2026
- A limited-edition festival glass to use on the day and take home
Drinks and food are then paid for separately at each bar.
How much are tickets?
Tickets are £15 per person, or £12.50 with our limited release early bird tickets (while stocks last).
How do I pay for drinks on the day?
There are no tokens. Each bar will run their own cash/card bar, so you simply pay as you go at whichever bar you’re ordering from.
Who will be pouring at the festival?
We’ll be pouring all 10 collab beers from the Grunting Growler bar, plus:
- 10 collaboration breweries, each with their own stall
- A LUNAR bar serving wines and cocktails
- An oyster bar from our friends Crombie & Crick
The full list of collaboration breweries will be announced in the weeks leading up to the event.
Are there options for non-beer drinkers?
Yes! Our LUNAR bar will be serving a selection of wines and cocktails, so there’s plenty to enjoy even if beer isn’t your thing.
Is there food available?
Yes, there will be an oyster bar from Crombie & Crick, and additional food options may be available from the venue or partners on the day. Keep an eye on our updates for more details.
Is the event 18+?
Yes. This event is strictly 18+ only. Please bring valid photo ID if you’re lucky enough to look under 25.
Can I get a refund or transfer my ticket?
Tickets are generally non-refundable. If you can no longer attend, please contact us at info@gruntinggrowler.com and we’ll do our best to help or advise.
Is the venue accessible?
Queen Margaret Union is an established events venue with accessible facilities. If you have specific accessibility requirements, please email us at info@gruntinggrowler.com and we’ll be happy to discuss your needs.
Will there be last entry?
Last entry time will be confirmed closer to the event, but we recommend arriving in good time to enjoy the full festival. Once you’re checked in, you can come and go as you please during the session.
