NFL Sundays Are Back: The 2026 Game Plan
The NFL is nearly back and, honestly, we’ve missed spending our Sundays trying to follow about nine games at once.
We’re kicking the new season off with our Training Camp party the week before the first games, but we also wanted to give you a little preview of what the season ahead will look like at Grunting Growler.
Every Sunday we’ll show NFL RedZone. If you know, you know.
And if you don't then here's what to expected: nonstop football kicking off from 6pm, until we close at 10pm.
That normally means we’ll get through roughly the opening quarter of the 9:05pm and 9:25pm games. Not quite the whole thing, sadly, but enough time for someone to ruin your fantasy week before you head home.
It's all action, and no down time. Every touchdown, every game, every big play, and every massive hit.
The 2026 game plan
We’ve gone through the full schedule and picked out the games we think are worth circling. There are rivalries, international games, potential playoff previews and a few matchups that should be absolute chaos.

The Playoff Picture. Week 18 kickoff times won’t be confirmed until the end of Week 17, so we’ll choose the games with the biggest playoff, division-title and win-or-go-home implications once everything is locked in.
The big international run
October is looking particularly ridiculous. We’ve got three London games on consecutive Sundays, followed by Steelers–Saints in Paris. Madrid and Munich then join the fun in November.
Those earlier kickoffs mean we can settle in for a full afternoon of football before RedZone begins. We’ll share the individual plans for those Sundays a little closer to the time.
Frequently asked questions
Do you show NFL RedZone?
Yep! We show NFL RedZone on our one screen every Sunday throughout the regular season.
Is RedZone shown with sound?
Always. It wouldn’t be the same without it.
What time does RedZone start?
RedZone normally starts at 6pm UK time. There’s one Sunday when the UK and US clocks change on different dates, when it begins at 5pm instead.
Do you show individual NFL games?
No. Our screen is dedicated to RedZone on Sundays. RedZone jumps between all the afternoon games, so the matchups we highlight are ones to look out for during the coverage—not individual screenings.
Do you show the late games?
We follow RedZone into the late window, but we close at 10pm. That normally means we catch roughly the opening quarter of the 9:05pm and 9:25pm games.
Do I need to book?
Walk-ins are always welcome, and we’ll squeeze everyone in wherever we reasonably can. Booking is still the best way to guarantee yourself a table, especially on the bigger Sundays. You can reserve one through the booking system on our website.
Are under-18s allowed during RedZone?
Grunting Growler is an 18+ venue. Children can come into the shop while shopping with an adult, but they cannot sit in or stay for RedZone under any circumstances.
Are you dog friendly?
Absolutely. We’re dog friendly all year round to well-behaved dogs—and preferably even better-behaved humans.
Can we bring our own food?
Yep! We allow BYOFood on days when we aren’t hosting one of our own food pop-ups. Check our event details or social media before visiting, as we’ll always let you know when food is being served in-house.
Do you show the international games?
International games taking place before RedZone aren’t part of our normal Sunday setup. If we decide to open early for any of them, we’ll announce it separately.
What is Friendsgiving?
Friendsgiving is our annual Thanksgiving event. We show the early Thanksgiving NFL game, bring out some special beer releases and put on food. The main event, however, is our collection for Drumchapel Food Bank.
What should I donate at Friendsgiving?
We’ll speak with Drumchapel Food Bank and share a list of the items they’re most in need of in the lead-up to the event. That way, every donation can be as useful as possible.
Where can I watch NFL RedZone in Glasgow?
Grunting Growler is an independent craft beer shop and taproom in Glasgow’s West End. We show NFL RedZone with sound every Sunday throughout the season.
